Management Buys Australian & New Zealand Club Business from DirectGroup Bertelsmann

Sydney, New South Wales – Wednesday July 7, 2010

The Australian entity, A&WN Trust, has acquired Doubleday Australia Pty Ltd, the DirectGroup Bertelsmann’s book and music club business in Australia and New Zealand. Doubleday Australia Managing Director, Andrew Nikas, will continue to lead the company together with the local management team.

The acquisition provides Doubleday Australia with the opportunity to start investing again in building the membership base, expanding the product range and growing the direct marketing services in home shopping, mail order catalogues, list management, letter-shopping and fulfilment.
